This practicum is about social transformation in West Africa. Study how non-government organizations in Senegal seek to transform society and the economy. Discover the world of NGOS and development in one of Africa鈥檚 most stable democracies. Visit a series of NGOs in Dakar and other cities looking at how they work and the way communications plays a vital role in their work. Study the problems they deal with, including access to education, nutrition, women鈥檚 rights. and reconciliation. Above all, discover how cultural dialogue works between actors from France, Senegal and the USA and how NGOs mobilize to improve people鈥檚 lives.
