POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead IT Support Technician position assists staff, faculty, and students with technical support of computers, applications, and related technology. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems (such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365 environment, and Apple Macs) to diagnose and resolve problems. The position utilizes IT support Management tool to provide first-line helpdesk support to 91视频 users, assisting them in person, via phone, email, chat and remote connection. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities - Desktop Support

  • Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.
  • Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Responds to and resolves user requests for IT technical support in a timely manner using 91视频 Request Management Systems.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 3-5 years experience providing technical support services.

Administrative Assistant - Student Immigration Services

Department: Student Services Development / Student Immigration Services

Supervisor: Student Immigration Coordinator or any other supervisor designated by the President

The Student Immigration Services (SIS) Administrative Assistant provides essential support to our students,who must either provide proof of European Union citizenship or secure and maintain an international studentvisa to live and study in France. The assistant collects and tracks student documents, meets daily withstudents, responds to e-mail and Teams queries, and proactively communicates with French authorities tobest guide and support our students. This position is managed by the SIS Coordinator.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication

  • Greet and serve as a first point of contact for all new students arriving at the University.
  • Inform NON-EU students about how to legalize their stay in France under a student status.
  • Ensure regular and clear communication with our students via e-mail, online Teams calls, in-personappointments and other channels. Inform them of their immigration status and legal requirementsrelated to renewals, travel, and enrollment at the University.
  • Provide visa letters and other certificates for students as necessary.
  • Assist NON-EU students with their residency application and renewal, including providing a list ofrequirements and assistance booking appointments with the Pr茅fecture de Police.
  • Ensure proactive communication with the Pr茅fecture de Police and French Consular Authorities(French Consulates abroad, Campus France, VSF) as necessary.

Data Tracking

  • Track the residency status of all students enrolled at 91视频.
  • Attend Orientation check-in each semester to validate all required official documents.
  • Enter into our University databases all relevant information regarding student immigration records,including residency permit expiry dates, passport information, citizenship, scans of visas, boardingpasses, birth certificates, etc.

Office Assistance

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cultural Program Assistant - CDD

DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Cultural Program Manager, the Cultural Program Assistant will:

  • Assist with process payments to suppliers within tight deadlines; this requires strong communication with accounting office regarding payment status.
  • Work closely with outside suppliers to make advance group reservations for transportation, accommodation, activities, etc
  • Obtain tickets to the opera, concerts, theater, etc as part of both event requests for academic courses and the extracurricular offering.

Deputy Registrar

Department: Academic Affairs

The Deputy Registrar has a key management role in Academic Affairs and within the Registrar鈥檚 Office operations. The Deputy Registrar is responsible for the creation and management of strategic long-term and short-term planning concerning functional area processes, oversees the daily operations of the Registrar Office, and takes the lead in data reporting & management.

DUTIES

Office Management:

  • Oversight of all overlapping tasks and procedures within both the Registrar鈥檚 Office and the institution, with an eye towards big picture decision making.
  • Manages Registrar鈥檚 Office daily business processes and oversees overall office process workflow for current & future semester cycles, from scheduling and orientation, through registration and commencement.
  • Point person for Assistant Registrars and Office Assistants in answering questions, solving issues, etc.
  • Uses professional judgement to determine which office issues to escalate to University Registrar
  • Oversees & manages Basecamp tasking system.

Graduate Student Support Coordinator

DUTIES

Supports Graduate Program Administration at 91视频:

  • Serves as a contact for students during the admissions and onboarding process
    • Answers all queries from accepted and confirmed graduate students until the point of arrival and Orientation
    • Assists as needed with online information sessions for incoming confirmed students to meet virtually existing students and/or Program Directors
  • Maintains contact with students during entire stay - advising, counseling, tracking progress, trouble-shooting, follows up on every aspect of student life from incomplete grades in courses to thesis completion and submission

Under the direction of the 91视频 Housing Maintenance Manager, and as part of a team, the technician carries out renovation, maintenance and repair work; provides logistical support for the establishment's activities; and provides logistical support for the activities of the student housing department.

DUTIES

Maintenance and renovation work:

  • Carries out all types of maintenance, renovation and repair work in buildings in accordance with the rules of the trade, in particular: masonry, painting, plastering, locksmithing, carpentry, laying floor
    coverings.

Electrical work:

Assistant Professor of Philosophy

The American University of Paris invites applications for a full-time position in the Department of History and Politics at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning 1 August 2025.

Two courses of the annual 3/3 teaching load will be taught within the Department of Comparative Literature and English.

Qualifications: A PhD degree in philosophy by the time of appointment. Applicants are expected to conduct internationally visible research and to demonstrate teaching competence in ancient philosophy, broadly defined (e.g. African, Asian, Latin American,

Mediterranean). They must also be trained in one or more areas of theoretical philosophy, such as philosophy of language, logic, or philosophy of mind. For the Comparative Literature and English component of this position, candidates should expect to teach classes in at least one of the following fields: literature, (ancient) languages, linguistics, and performance.

Assistant Professor in Computer Science / Data Science

Assistant Professor of Developmental Psychology
